Celestial Sphere or Stars Globe is the arch or dome shape of the sky, in the day we see every day the sun illuminates during the day and at night is full of stars moving from east to west but is actually it is an effect caused by the inverse Earth rotation, from west to east.

Earth rotation is said to be 24 hours a day, in fact that is only true regarding to the position of the sun in the sky but its not actual earth rotating time since the true rotating time on its own axis in only 23h.56minutes, for the reason that the sun doesn’t stand still it is also in movement, the four minutes difference is the time for the sun to move one degree a day in the ecliptic completing the approximately 360° degrees or practically as days in a year. Therefore the 24 hours a day of a normal clock is a measure in solar time and not in earth time.

The moon has two movements in the sky one with relation to the stars that take about 27,3 days and from full moon to full moon that takes 29.52 days that will divide in 13 or 12 parts the ecliptic resulting in calendar of either 13 or 12 months.

For ancient men to calculate all this and keep track of time had to divide the sky in imaginary lines to be able to come with a reliable result.
